Question

What time should I arrive for the wedding?

Answer

Please arrive at 3:30 PM to the Avanti Mansion. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are requesting Semi-formal attire. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up for our big day! For those guests that would like to be fully immersed, draw inspiration from our garden party theme for our wedding. This is a great time to get adventurous with colors. For ladies, think dresses with bright, pastel, or floral hues. When planning footwear, keep in mind that our ceremony will be outdoors. For the guys, light colored suits and linens are a great option. If you want to experiment with pattern or color, this is a good time to do so. For more outfit ideas, please see the “inspiration” tab above. While we cannot wait to see all of the amazing looks you come up with, our theme is completely optional. You don’t have to go with the garden theme if you don’t want to. Wear whatever makes you most comfortable! Your presence is most important to us. We kindly ask that you avoid any colors traditionally reserved for the bride. (white, creams, and ivory)

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Is there parking near by?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue for all guests. If you are coming from out of town to celebrate with us, shuttle services will be provided to and from hotels that we have reserved room blocks with. For more information, please see the “travel” tab.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We LOVE your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so that you can enjoy the evening and celebrate with us.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are so excited to be present with all of you as we say I do! To ensure this moment is everything we have dreamed of, we are having an “unplugged” ceremony. All this means is that we ask that all guests have phones put away and turned off during our ceremony. We have AMAZING photographers that will capture this beautiful moment, and we promise to share all of the photos. After the ceremony, please take as many photos as you would like for the rest of the evening. (And of course share with us!)

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will be at the Avanti Mansion in Buffalo, NY. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and our reception will be indoors.

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is a present enough! Should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table at the entrance to the venue. To visit our registry, please click the “registry” tab above.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

When you receive your wedding invitation, RSVP information will be supplied. There will be space for you to let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

We understand that many of you are traveling from far away to witness our special day! We can’t wait to visit with you, and plans are being finalized for events surrounding the wedding for the weekend. Please check back in as the wedding gets closer for more details.
