It's a Match!

Golf at first site!

We met on Bumble! I was curious about dating apps, and figured it was my senior year of college, so I wanted to give it a shot. Corbin told me that he was as well and was about to give up because he hadn't found anyone that was interesting. We matched November 12, 2022, just before I had my sorority's formal. Emily joked with me about inviting him last minute. We messaged each other quite a lot, before I gave him my number, which I am still surprised by. We had our first date on November 15th and played mini golf. To this day we keep a tally of wins we have against each other (I'm better). Fun fact: at the first hole, I told him, "By the way, I played golf all throughout high school" and then proceeded to hit my golf ball. After the date, I remember telling the girls I was friends with in AGD about how much he seemed like a great guy! After a couple more dates, on December 4th, Corbin asked me if I wanted to officially be his girlfriend, and of course I said yes!

Engaged at the Castle

Double Date or Not

On August 4th, we met up with Greta and Josiah at Corbin's house. The plan was to have a double date at the Kentucky Castle and then dinner. I was thrilled by this because I was hoping that Greta and Josiah may get closer. That is not what happened at all! When we got there, we started walking around. When we got to the garden, Josiah asked if we wanted to take a selfie of the four of us, which we took. Apparently, we were being followed around by Corbin and I's friends and Josiah was trying to distract me from seeing them. We walked around a little more, and after saying hi to the animals we started to head back towards the castle. Corbin paused me and asked if we wanted to give Josiah and Greta space, which I thought was a fantastic idea. Corbin had other plans. After we walked about 20 feet away from them, he reminds me of the trip I went on this past May, and how he felt lonely and that's when he figured out that he really loved me and wanted to marry me someday. It was the day after my trip, when I came back that he ended up getting the ring, but obviously I had no clue as he hid it for over 2 months. After piecing what he was saying in my head, I realized that he was about to propose. He got on one knee and asked just that. I don't remember exactly what I said, but I do recall bawling my eyes out and almost making him fall over when I tackled him out of excitement! As you can see, you know what my answer was!!
