You're asking yourself, "What is the #2 thing I must do while in Chattanooga..." it is going to Rock City and taking a stroll in Matty and Rae’s neighborhood (yep, we live here!). This is the place. Rock City is more than a scenic stroll—it’s the heart of Fairyland and the most magical corner of our world. We go every week, wander the trails, wave to the gnomes, and take in those endless views. It’s where we’ll be doing our first look, and we couldn’t imagine a more perfect spot to start forever
Where river otters play, butterflies flutter, and penguins waddle in tuxedos fancier than ours. Located right on the banks of the Tennessee River, this iconic Chattanooga spot is part wonderland, part underwater love story (kind of like us). Whether you’re team river or reef, it’s the perfect place to explore before or after the big day. Pro tip: the jellyfish exhibit is oddly romantic
Right next to the Edwin and perched on a bluff with sweeping views of the Tennessee River, the Hunter Museum is where creativity meets Southern charm. From bold modern pieces to classic American masterpieces, it’s a beautiful place to get inspired—or just pretend you’re in a very fancy rom-com montage. A perfect stop for a quiet moment before the dance floor calls.
Our go-to spot for oysters, cocktails, and laughing too loudly with our favorites, Jim and Jada. Easy Bistro is where date nights, double dates, and “just one drink” have turned into some of our best memories. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, drink, and feel instantly cooler—this is it.
Home to the best bread (and brekkie) in town, Niedlov’s is our happy place for flaky pastries, perfect lattes, and slow mornings. It’s the kind of spot where you run into friends, linger over avocado toast, and consider ordering just one more croissant. If you’re in town for the weekend, this place is a must.
Charming, cozy, and effortlessly cool—Elsie’s Daughter is where we met Rae’s first friend in town (hi, Natalie!) and instantly felt at home. With great wine, delicious shareable snacks, and a patio made for golden hour hangs, it’s one of our favorite little gems in Chattanooga
Just a stone’s throw from the Aquarium, Wooden City is our go-to for legendary beet ravioli (yes… BEETS!!), herbal cocktails that taste like summer, and pizza that dreams are made of. The vibes? Immaculate. It’s the perfect spot to start your night—or keep it going!
A waterfall inside a mountain? Yep, Ruby Falls is one of Chattanooga’s most magical (and slightly mysterious) attractions. Discovered in 1928 by Leo Lambert while exploring Lookout Mountain’s underground caverns, he named the falls after his wife, Ruby (cue the collective “aww”). It’s a fun little adventure with stunning views—both inside the cave and from the mountaintop.
BBQ meets Latin flair in the heart of St. Elmo, and somehow it’s both casual and wildly delicious. Little Coyote is our favorite spot for a quick margarita and the unforgettable tuna tostada (Rae and Jada’s official order). It’s laid-back, flavorful, and full of Chattanooga charm—just how we like it.
