The couple first met on the 18th of August 2018 at a family friend’s going-away celebration. At the time, their encounter seemed fleeting, as both were immersed in their Stellenbosch university studies, focused on completing their respective degrees. Four years later, destiny brought them together once more. On the 30th of July 2022, during an inter-schools weekend, they reconnected, this time as young professionals. What began as a simple reunion soon revealed a deeper connection. Zhané shared her passion for exploring the world, and Ehren, captivated by their renewed encounter, asked her on a date. Before long, their growing bond became evident, and curiosity spread throughout Paarl about the person who had so effortlessly captured Ehren’s heart. On the 25th of February 2023, after growing their relationship over multiple months, they officially began their journey together and introduced one another to their families. Shortly thereafter in September 2023, they embarked on a new chapter navigating the challenges and rewards of a long-distance relationship. Zhané courageously pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a flight attendant, relocating to Abu Dhabi in the Middle East. United by their shared love for travel, they embraced every opportunity to explore the world together, creating cherished memories across the Middle East, Thailand, South Korea, Norway, and Denmark. On the 23rd of July 2025, on a cloudy day in Copenhagen, in front of the majestic Rosenborg Castle, Ehren asked Zhané to spend the rest of her life with him. As they continue to walk this journey together, they remain anchored in their faith, trusting in God’s guidance every step of the way. Through every trial and triumph, their love has been strengthened, sustained by grace and the enduring presence of God. Ecclesiastes 4:12 - " A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
