Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Ashton Gardens Atlanta, which is located at 260 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Sugar Hill, GA 30518. Driving, carpooling, or ride sharing is recommended.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive by 5:15 PM to allow time for parking and seating before the ceremony begins.

Guests are welcome to wear formal wear (e.g., ankle length or floor length gowns) or traditional African attire.

Due to venue capacity and planning, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

What should I expect?

Answer

We’ll begin our celebration with a traditional white wedding ceremony, followed by a vibrant Igbo traditional ceremony during the reception to honor Nigerian culture. You can look forward to colorful attire, lively music, and joyful dancing as well as meaningful cultural moments like the kola nut blessing, wine carrying (Igba Nkwu), and prayers from our elders. One special custom you might notice is money spraying, where guests “spray” the couple with cash as a symbol of love, happiness, and prosperity — if you’d like to join in, feel free to bring a few small bills! 💃🏽✨
