Hannah Calhoun

Maid of Honor

I first met Hannah on her day of birth and was immediately convinced she was my baby. I soon realized that wasn’t the case and twenty-four years later, she’s more than just a sister, she’s one of my best friends. We laugh until we cry when we lock our parents out of the car, are undefeatable together in any card game we play, and she is my voice of reason when I need it. Hannah’s a great person to have in your corner.

Sam Zerger

Best Man

I first met Sam on October 29, 1989. We have always been a dynamic duo that can be compared to Jordan & Pippen, Harry Dunn & Lloyd Christmas, and Woody & Buzz Lightyear. Life without him would not be the same; from the slap happy laughs before going to sleep when we shared a bunkbed, to having the honor of being the best man at his wedding. Ill never forget the time we got to conquer Philly, Atlantic City, and NYC in the same weekend. I know he is the greatest guy and I can count on him for anything!

Christine Wernecke

Bridesmaid

I first met Christine in middle school. We both loved black hamsters and fuzzy blankets from China so you could say our friendship was meant to be. They say if you’re friends with someone for more than 7 years, you’re likely to have that friend for life. Well, Christine and I have enough friendship to last 2+ lifetimes (18 years!)

Drew Haden

Groomsman

I first met Drew in Elementary school. We were on rival recess soccer teams but we teamed up in baseball and have been best friends ever since. The number of times we spent the night at each other’s house probably is in the hundreds. The best time; however, was spring semester of our last year of College. Having him move in and live with Mike, Kyle Brennan and I made that semester epic. If scientists were to formulate a best friend, the result would be Drew.

Laura Devera

Bridesmaid

Laura and I were in the same sorority at The University of Kansas (Alpha Chi Omega), but never really hung out until one fateful night at a function with the Delts, where we bonded with each other more than with any guys. After that, we decided we had to be best friends, and the rest is history. Laura is my go-to when I want to meet people, as she knows and loves talking with everyone!

Brennan Boling

Groomsman

I first met Brennan in Elementary school. We played baseball together and soon became best friends. We had so many great times through middle school and high school but the most memorable was when he joined Mike, Kyle, and I the last two years at the University of Kansas. If I ever need someone to get Chipotle with, he would never turn it down! I always loved grabbing drinks Friday afternoons on the Quintons patio chatting about life, but I'll never forget conquering the snow-apocalypse in the Bronco on the way to the Hawk. That was a crazy afternoon! Brennan is a one of a kind.

Miranda Head

Bridesmaid

I first met Miranda at Ursuline Academy basketball tryouts and I immediately thought she was bubbly and funny. We found out we lived five minutes away from each other and were inseparable ever since. High school can be a weird place, but Miranda and I found each other and maneuvered through the awkwardness together, but not without developing a love for gnomes and James Blunt (see, weird).

Kyle Kehr

Groomsman

I first met Kyle in High School. We were good friends but quickly became best friends when we were roommates at the University of Kansas. We were the guys to know on the 10th floor of McCollum (RIP) Hall freshman year. He probably doesn’t know it but he helped me make that scary transition from high school to college much easier and he was always a worthy adversary when it came to Mario Cart. Everyone needs a friend like Kyle.

Megan Belgeri

Bridesmaid

Megan was also my sorority sister while at KU and we became fast friends. Megan is the one in the group that somehow always remembers our funniest moments from years ago, and can recite them back so we can all laugh all over again. We love going on Law and Order: SVU benders, cats (meow), cheese, and rapping to Nicki Minaj (#rimrimrimrim)

Mike Malone

Groomsman

I first met Mike in high school, but we became best friends freshman year at the University of Kansas when a mutual friend put us back in touch. After a Mrs. E’s lunch date with Mike, Kyle and I, the three of us were unstoppable. He was the brains behind the spur of the moment road trip to St Louis for Game 7 of the 2011 World Series. That turned out to be one of the best weekends of my life. His laughter is contagious and I’ll never forget blasting Bon Jovi’s "Livin’ On A Prayer" in the Ford Taurus. I know our friendship will never be broken.

Anne Salvato

Bridesmaid

Anne and I were also sorority sisters at KU, where we had many adventures together as Anne is always up for anything. We basically spent our whole summer after graduation taking walks around campus and watching the Bachelorette (very productive, we know). Anne loves making “Velivta” for her friends, personally waking me up every morning, and making me laugh- all very good qualities in a friend.

Spencer Curry

Groomsman

I first met Spencer some time in 1992. He may be my cousin, but he has always been the little brother I never had. Family vacations, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Fourth of July, Hunting, so many crazy times to count. You just can't beat floating at Lake View with a cooler full of cold ones, jamming to Dave Matthews Band, and talking about life! There is not a better guy in this world than Spenny!
