IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A ZENNER

As you know, we’ve already tied the ~legal~ knot, but we can’t wait to celebrate our marriage in faith and with our loved ones. We will be honoring tradition with a Catholic ceremony (not a full mass, don't worry!) and then keeping things simple by skipping the conventional reception. Instead, we’ll gather for a cocktail hour and dinner, an intimate evening accompanied by live music from a local Detroit saxophonist. After dinner, the party keeps going with a party bus for some adventures around Downtown Detroit! We understand that the ceremony, dinner, and drinks may be plenty for some, so guests are welcome to head home afterward or do their own thing with no obligation to join the outing. We both attended Ferris State University and were friends on social media, but never met in person. It wasn’t until a couple of years after graduation that our paths would truly cross. In 2020, KC was near Sarah's hometown for a bachelor party and decided to ask Sarah out. She happily said yes. Our first date was at a bar in downtown Rochester, but just as things were starting to take off, COVID hit, and we found ourselves apart for a few months. When the world began to reopen, Sarah made the trip to Kalamazoo to visit KC, and we have been inseparable ever since. Fast forward to December 28th, 2023, when KC proposed under the twinkling Christmas lights at Meadowbrook Hall in Rochester, marking the start of our next chapter. Not even four months later, on a rainy Friday morning, April 12th, 2024, we made it official with a small, intimate courthouse ceremony with just us, KC's brother Tyelor, and one of Sarah's best friends, Brooke, as witnesses. We knew we were ready to take the next step and begin our journey together, despite the distance we have navigated and continue to navigate over the years. We are so grateful to have everyone here to celebrate the true beginning of our marriage.
