Flight
Plan to fly into Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) . It is about a 20-minute drive to central Amman. We recommend you use Royal Jordanian but some other airlines you might want to consider are British Airways, United Airlines, and Lufthansa. You can purchase visas on arrival at the cost of 40 Jordanian Dinars (about $55). However, purchasing a Jordan Pass prior to arrival in the country covers the cost of the visa, and entrance fees to most of the tourist attractions (which we encourage you to go visit). To learn more visit this website: jordanpass.jo Getting from the airport into Amman is quick and easy with Ubers and Taxis. Alternatively, you can book a hired driver.

We have organised a reduced rate at the Hotel Liwan for our wedding guests. If you would like to stay here, please contact Grace Rihani, the owner of the hotel, directly (grace@theliwan.com). The location is very central and Grace can organize transportation to and from the airport or coordinate any tours in Jordan and transportation while you are here. In your email, state that you are a guest attending Zeyna Mcilvain and Ben Wheeler's wedding and looking for a room at The Liwan. She will let you know about the set rate and different room options.

We would prefer guests not use AirBNB to book accomodation due to their practice of offering vacations in the illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and their presence on the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction pressure list. Alternative short-stay rental options include VRBO, HolidayHomes.co.uk, as well as the hotel listings above. If you are having trouble finding accomodations please do not hesitate to reach out.
Travel Note
While you are in Jordan, you can use this app 'Nomad' to get an e-sim that will give you data to use during your time here. Alternatively, travel simcards can be purchased at the Airport.
