What time should I show up for the ceremony?

Answer

Please be at the Old Rose Garden in Ault Park by 4:15 PM so that we can start promptly at 4:30 PM.

Where do I park for the ceremony?

Answer

Free street parking is available along Observatory Circle and Principio Ave on both sides of the street. The Old Rose Garden is located closest to the intersection of Principio Ave and Observatory Circle.

Will there be restrooms available for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, they are located near Heekin Overlook in Ault Park, a 5 minute walk from the Old Rose Garden.

Where do I park for the Reception?

Answer

Free public parking is available in the lot across the street from the venue.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. We suggest cocktail or semi-formal dresses for women and suits (tie optional) for men. Please, no jeans.

What is the food situation?

Answer

Immediately following the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour (5:30-6:30 PM) at The Turn Event Venue (reception location). Light appetizers will be served; there will be vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available. The open bar will also be available so get in line early to enjoy that! Since a hearty dinner will follow the cocktail hour, appetizers will be on the lighter side. For dinner, we will have the amazing local restaurant Mazunte catering a taco bar with fresh homemade salsas, chips, and taco fix-ins. We will have 3 main proteins: roasted pork, chicken tinga, grilled shrimp. Sautéed vegetables will be available as a vegetarian/vegan option. There will also be an assortment of desserts available to enjoy throughout the evening.

Are there accommodations for food allergies/sensitivities?

Answer

We will have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available at our reception, both at the cocktail hour and during dinner. Please notify the venue attendant or one of our 2 day of coordinators (Lisa and Zoe) if you need help finding vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event. If you want a sneak peak of the bar menu, we will have 2 signature cocktails (tequila and bourbon based), gin & tonic, cosmopolitan, prosecco, red and white wine, beer, and non alcoholic options. Your safety is our utmost priority. Please do not drive under the influence. If you need assistance, one of our day of coordinators can arrange for an Uber/Lyft to get you home if needed (please note guests are responsible for the cost of their own transportation).

Will there be restrooms at the reception venue?

Answer

Yes! Please note there is only 1 stall available. Thank you for your patience and flexibility in advance. The venue has a backup plan in case anything unexpected occurs.

Who can I ask day of questions to?

Answer

Please direct any day of questions or concerns to our 2 lovely day of coordinators, Lisa and Zoe. They will be present at the ceremony and reception to ensure everyone knows where to go and every guest is taken care of.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! You can find all the details on the Registry page of our website. We ask that where possible, guests have any gifts mailed to the couple’s home address rather than bring them to the venue. Thank you!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We respectfully request no children at the reception, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Our ceremony will move indoors to The Turn Events Venue, our reception location that is located in northern Kentucky (20 minute drive from original ceremony location). Our day of coordinators will communicate to you in as much notice as possible if the plan needs to shift due to inclement weather.

What time does the event end?

Answer

We will be wrapping up around 9:30 PM to ensure we have time to get everything cleaned up. Venue rental is over at 10 PM.
