"We met in August of 2014 as high school freshmen, when he was on the cross country team with my brother, and I was on the soccer team. Ryan had asked my brother who I was, after I said hello to the both of them after our practices. We were friends from August 2014 to April 2015, and then he asked me to be his 'bae.' We committed to each other through my undergrad degree, my master's program, his military deployments, and his police academy training. Next thing I knew, 11 years went by, and although it felt like I was waiting for forever, the timing was no less than perfect when he asked me to marry him. It was such a special moment when he popped the question with a Zelman family heirloom diamond and a taco bell packet that said 'Marry Me.'
