Pella is known for its windmills, but this is its most famous one and it's the largest Dutch windmill in the U.S.! Anna grew up seeing this windmill out her bedroom window and taking many school trips to visit it, so it definitely is a special place for her. There is so much to see and do here, so make sure to stop by!
If you are anywhere near downtown Pella, chances are you will hear the Klokkenspel. It chimes every hour to let the people of Pella know what time it is, but five times a day you can also catch a show. At 11 am, 1, 3, 5, and 9 pm, some characters that are important to Pella's history come out of the clock for a performance. It starts on Franklin street and continues on the back!
Along with our obsession with coffee, Noah also works next door to The Sanctuary so we are constantly in there. If you are a lover of coffee definitely make a stop here, it's the best coffee in Pella! In addition to coffee, The Sanctuary is also a Christian bookstore with home decor and other little things to get.
