We’re getting married!

They had been friends for quite some time.. however, after prom and a short highschool crush, life happened, and they both parted ways for college. They casually kept in touch here and there, over the span of seven years! All while obtaining degrees and starting nursing school. And by casual, we mean Zehra had completely lost interest in Amir and for Amir, Zehra was “the girl who got away/never answered texts.” January 2018, Zehra began to go from "complete loss of interest" to intrigued, and curious. She began to notice Amir more as he popped up on social media, or a friend brought up conversation about running into him. It was like universal fate was trying hard to work its magic! She decided to send Amir a text say she “needed help” with a cardiology exam for a medical surgical class. Zehra, the tutor, the one hosting study sessions at her apartment, always making notes and sharing them with her classmates. Little did she know, her attempt to study the heart, would be with the man who would quickly steal hers. February 2018, they were brought together by a tragedy involving their mutual friend. It was through reconnection, nursing school, support and friendship, they began to rekindle a spark that unknowingly had been idle for seven years.. By march 10, 2018, zehra (afraid for her life) told her dad, she may or may not have a boyfriend! Dad surprisingly took it well. He saw himself in Amir and knew Amir would love Zehra endlessly! Fast forward to September 11, 2020, Amir proposed to Zehra in a way that would mean more to her than anything in the world. Rain ruined a hot-air balloon planned, but Amir's back up plan turned out to be the best plan. Covid made her miss family and friends, so Amir gathered each person Zehra missed, for a final rose ceremony (ABC's the Bachelor/ette series is Zehra's guilty pleasure). Every detail was perfect, even the ring pop! They've been engaged ever since and can't wait to share the start of this next chapter with you all!
