If you are just starting your search for the perfect Indian outfit, you might feel like you’re learning a new language. Don't worry, I've got you covered. For the Ladies: Lehenga: This is a three-piece ensemble. It consists of a cropped blouse (choli), a voluminous full skirt, and a dupatta (a long scarf). It is the "go-to" for the wedding because it's easy to dance in! Saree: The classic. It’s a single piece of unstitched fabric (usually 6 to 9 yards) draped elegantly around the body. Pro Tip: If you aren't an expert at draping, look for "pre-stitched" sarees that zip up like a skirt. This can be considered for the wedding as well. Suit (Salwar Kameez): This is a three-piece set featuring a long tunic, trousers (usually tapered at the ankle), and a dupatta. It is incredibly comfortable and perfect for daytime events. For the Gentlemen: Kurta Pajama: A loose-fitting tunic top paired with matching trousers. It’s the ultimate "Goldilocks" outfit—not too formal, not too casual. It’s also gender-neutral and can be worn by anyone! Any other color is fair game, although there is a sage green and golden theme at the wedding!
There is free parking at Hindu Samaj Mandir for our wedding ceremony. For our reception, Hotel Dupont does have valet parking available overnight for $45 per vehicle. If you prefer self parking, there is Community Service Self Parking (111 W 11th St, Wilmington, DE 19801) for $18 for 24 hours and it is conveniently located right across from the hotel.
Of course! We believe babies are the most precious part of any family and we look forward to seeing all of our newest family members at our celebration!
Please reference our travel page for additional details about hotels near the reception and wedding venue. Our hotel blocks are only available and open till October 20, 2026.
In our efforts, to keep our wedding celebration as intimate as possible, we ask that you do not bring any more additional guests than designated on your invitation.
We ask that everyone RSVP by September 30, 2026 so our chef can prepare for chosen meal selections and we can organize our seating chart!
The wedding ceremony and the reception will be held indoors.
The wedding is going to be held at a mandir therefore alcohol is prohibited on its premises. As for the reception, of course, we're going to put those livers to work! If you don't drink, don't worry there will be mocktails as well!
