Abby's sister, Kim, married Chris's high school friend, Nick. We were in the bridal party together and when I saw Abby from across the church at the rehearsal the night before the wedding, I knew. But like so many of my favorite whiskies, she had a few more years in the barrel.
Suits & Boots, aside from being adorable and rhymey, is our way of saying dress up but don't wear heels. Our wedding will be outside in a field. You don't have to wear boots, but you're welcome to. And let's be real, men need all the instructions about outfits and women are better at figuring this out. So for those women wondering what to wear, imagine standing next to your date in a suit with cowboy boots on and think to yourself, "what would I like to wear if that's what this dude is wearing". And remember, ladies are welcome to wear boots, suits, or whatever - there are no gender expectations at this party. But dress up a bit, eh? We are getting married here... :) Additionally, the forecast is looking like it will be a bit on the chilly side so feel free to bring a coat or hat or whatever. The ceremony and cocktail hour will both be fully outside (weather allowing) so do dress appropriately for that.
Our goal is to take excellent care of you. All of you. And we think we've found a way to do that. So yes, there will be food for you. Anything that is vegetarian on the menu and which can be reasonably prepared as vegan will be. Our caterer is excellent and everyone on staff should be able to advise you. We'll also have a menu on the buffet which spells out what's available and what allergens or dietary concerns go along with it. Short answer, we got you.
Yes. Duh. Our afterparty will be on site at Blue Hill Farm in the Carriage House and around the bonfire. All are welcome. Last shuttle leaves at midnight. Party on, Wayne.
No. Unless you're going to give it to me. No need to tip the bartenders or catering staff. This is not a restaurant, these people are well-compensated and gratuity is part of what we've paid them already. You won't see a tip jar on the bar because this is how they work. Just come and enjoy.
