God works in mysterious ways and, for Branden & Erin, He was working overtime on Hinge in June of 2021. What started as swiping right turned into a six hour first date that led to a cross country move and the start of a beautiful life together. Just weeks after moving to Cleveland, OH for his podiatry residency, Branden and Erin connected on Hinge over the wildly important question - "If you were standing in the chip aisle and can only leave with one bag of chips, what are you grabbing" (Correct answer: pickle chips, Branden's answer: jalapeno kettle chips). Difference in answers aside, the pair had a great first date that led to many days & nights running around Cleveland soaking up all the city has to offer. With Branden's podiatry residency taking him to Oklahoma City to finish training, it was only a matter of time before Erin found herself googling things like "is there anything besides horses and farms in Oklahoma" (right after searching "where the heck is Oklahoma on a map") and starting a job search down south. God opened more doors than the two could have imagined and, in 2022, Erin & Branden packed a UHaul and began their big Oklahoma adventure - all before the 1 year anniversary of their first date. Through the many anniversaries they've had since, the couple has remained continuously in awe of the ways God has ordained their paths. From swiping on a dating app to building a life together - they've been blessed in more ways than they can count. In their 3+ years, they've enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends & family (especially as Uncle B and Auntie Erin), investing time in couples Bible studies & church groups, cozy nights at home cooking (shoutout Chef B!) and spending plenty of time two-stepping, too. Branden proposed to Erin on February 15, 2025 in Mexico City, just minutes before the pair jumped on a hot air balloon - which is fitting because they've both been on Cloud 9 since their first date on July 16, 2021.
