This is the YMCA base for activities! From mini golf, to archery, to roller skating, there are so many activities to do. Sam worked here as an activities facilitator!
If you're looking for more adventure, stop by the Mountain Center. Here there is an indoor and outdoor rock climbing wall, a high ropes challenge course, guided hikes, and tons of information about the area. There are many hikes around the Y with maps available to pick up here. It is also where Hannah worked during her time as an environmental education instructor at the Y!
The YMCA is connected to Rocky Mountain National Park! There are hiker shuttles available in town for transport into the park or behind the Mountain Center there is an easy trail that leads right into the park. You do technically still need an entrance pass, but if you stay in the Moraine Park trail area you probably won't be stopped (shh!).
Visit the Stanley Hotel! Yes- THE Stanley Hotel that inspired Stephen King’s The Shining. Take a ghost tour or just explore the grounds and see if you notice any supernatural presence!
The Wheel is an Estes Park staple! Many of our early dates were spent here playing pool (badly), playing shuffleboard (slightly better), and hanging out with friends.
One of our favorite dates while at the Y was going horseback riding! Watch out for Zig Zag, his name does not lie and you will be zigging and zagging along the trail like Sam did.
The cutest restaurant where we had many dates, including a very romantic candlelit dinner when all of Estes Park's power got knocked out!
Super yummy cafe spot with fun coffees and pizzas!
