Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alexandra Fisher and John Tetnowski
The region of Provence is famous for its vineyards (rosé!), olive oil, mountains, historic towns and castles, and relaxed way of life. And it is BIG. Here are a few of our favorite things to help you find your way. We hope you enjoy as much as we do! It’s impossible to note everything: there are hikes to do, nearby coastlines to explore, olive oil groves to taste from. If you need any other recommendations, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Domaine Oddo Vineyard

Chemin des Glauges, Eyguières, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 13430, France

Beautiful vineyard estate in the Alpilles known for its rosé, with cellar tastings and a cliffside terrace. Just down the road from our wedding venue, if you're staying nearby!

Visit Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 13210, France

If you’re not staying here, this town is still a MUST visit. Not only is it absolutely charming, it has some of our favorite restaurants, boulangeries, and shops. St-Rémy has one of THE quintessential Provence markets on Wednesdays from 8am-1pm. It has everything from local produce to cheese to clothes and home goods. Get there early to beat the crowds!

Visit Eygalières

Eygalières, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 13810, France

Another one of our favorite towns. This one is smaller but is oh-so-charming, and home to Hugh Grant! While great every day, we recommend coming Friday morning! Eygalières hosts an amazing market on Friday mornings from 8-1pm with gorgeous cheeses, lavender products, baskets, accessories, etc. Cannot miss.

Have a Baguette from Maison Alpilles

Rue de la République, Eygalières, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 13810, France

You really can’t go wrong with any French bakery, but this one in Eygalières has Zan’s favorite baguette. Their quiche was phenomenal as well!

Antique in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 84800, France

For our fellow antique lovers! 30 or so minutes from St-Rémy is L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, known as the ‘Antique Capital’ and ‘Venice of Provence’. A river runs through the center of town, lined with antique shops. Sundays bring the big flea market, but the shops are open daily. Absolutely worth a visit!

Visit Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

Just under an hour from St-Rémy is Aix-en-Provence. Wide boulevards, gorgeous fountains, old-town streets filled with great shops and cafés. They are famous for their local market where you will find the most beautiful produce, cheese, lavender products, clothing, artisanal goods and so much more! The market is every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 7am - 1pm.
