A mutual friend introduced Farah and Zameer for a potential real estate project. After several email exchanges, they agreed to meet on July 5, 2022. Zameer sent Farah a calendar invite for that agreed-upon date and time. Unfortunately, Farah never accepted his calendar invite. For those of you who know Zameer, you know he lives off of calendar invites. So, her not accepting his invitation made him wonder if she would even attend the meeting. She kept him waiting till the day of the meeting when she finally responded confirming they would be meeting later that day! Little did they know that their meeting was going to change their mutual lives forever for the better. When they met that day, they greeted each other with warm and welcoming smiles. They both knew that there was something different here. As they spent time discussing the project, it was clear there was chemistry, as it was easy and fun for them to talk and laugh together. Farah wondered if this guy was genuinely interested in her or just a friendly guy to all. They parted ways saying they would be in touch about the project in the next few days. Later that night, Zameer was at his nephew Ayden's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and decided he needed to shoot his shot. He sent Farah a picture of himself with his 3-month old nephew, Elias. Nothing says wingman like a cute 3-month-old. That text led to hours of conversation with Farah ultimately telling Zameer, "Look, I like you, but I'm looking for a relationship that ends in marriage and kids. If you are not, it's ok, but we may not be the right fit for each other." Zameer thought Farah's honesty was refreshing and knew this was someone he needed to get to know better. They made plans to meet a few days later and spent time driving to the Galveston coast to catch a sunset. During that drive, they talked about their family, dreams, and goals. Ultimately they not only caught a sunset, but feelings for each other as well. Both Farah and Zameer are honored and excited to spend this special moment in their lives with you.
Zameer and Farah decided to pursue a life together in as many of the traditional customs as they could. The first tradition was to have Zameer's parents take a proposal to Farah's parents for her hand in marriage. This tradition is called a Baat Paki which is translated to mean "Talk Confirmed." Zameer and his parents asked her parents for their permission for Farah and Zameer to get married. They also asked Farah if she was happy and wanted to marry Zameer. Thankfully they all said yes! The next phase would be for Zameer to find a day, time and place to get on one knee and truly pop the question. Zameer told Farah that his cousin Riyaz, an aspiring photographer, offered to do a photo shoot for them. With Farah and Zameer dressed to impress, Riyaz and his two siblings, Naseem and Salmaan, took them around a park with lakes to take pictures. The last set of pictures, took place at a lake overlooking a beautiful Texas Sunset. In that moment, Zameer dropped to one knee and asked a surprised Farah to be his wife. Just two problems. The wind was blowing very hard and so it was hard to hear him and he was so nervous he was barely uttering a whisper! Thankfully, Farah did hear the part where he asked her to marry him and she said yes!!! Zameer is a big believer that if you ever get a second chance to make something right, you do it. The next day at a family gathering to celebrate their engagement, he proposed to her a second time but made sure this time she and all of their family heard every word of his proposal. She said YES! Again :-D Look forward to seeing yall soon.
