IMPORTANT TRAVEL REMINDER
Please check your passport and make sure it is not expiring within 3 months before travel! Also, there is NO need to worry about the new requirement for those traveling to Europe to apply for a travel visa (ETIAS). This was meant to go into effect in 2024, but it is now being delayed until mid 2025, so you don't have to do anything!

GETTING TO TAORMINA
Please make your way to Taormina (where the wedding is located) by Monday morning, if not the day before, if you are planning to attend the Welcome Party. The closest airport to Taormina is Catania. It is about a 45-55 minute drive from Catania to Taormina. You may arrange transportation ahead, which we recommend. Transfeero, Viator, and SunTransfers offer transfers for groups of 2-7 people. You could rent a car as well! From Austin and Houston there is a flight option to get directly to Catania with just one stop. Some guests may choose to make their way from their home city to another part of Europe sometime over the weekend before getting to Sicily for the wedding. This may offer more options with less stops and may be an economical way to arrive, as you can choose from many different European cities based on flight options and pricing from your home town. Consider looking at larger European cities that also fly direct to Catania, like Berlin, Paris, London, Barcelona, Milan, Rome, Naples, etc. (there are many more). These inter-European flights are typically fairly affordable as well (~$50-200 depending on cities) You may also want to travel to Sicily right away, potentially seeing other Sicilian cities before or after the wedding. Just know that the best city with the most to do is Taormina, so be sure you allow some time to explore there outside of our wedding festivities! The two airports in Sicily are Catania (closest to Taormina & Syracuse) and Palermo. You can easily fly between Palermo and Catania with a very short and inexpensive flight (~$100) or you can take the scenic route by train (~$20-30).

getting to the venue
ROUNDTRIP TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED: The road to the venue is not walkable, no matter how close it may appear. Please meet at Hotel Villa Paradisio for a 4:45pm departure to the venue (please arrive around 4:30pm for an on-time departure). Transportation will also return back to Hotel Villa Paradisio at the end of the night.
