If possible, we'd love for you to join us Friday night for a small kickoff celebration in the West Loop area! A 2 night stay is advised to ensure you have plenty of time to settle in and not feel rushed come Saturday.
We have room blocks at both the Ace Hotel and Hyatt House, both just a short walk from the venue. We will be staying at the Ace Hotel so feel free to join us there if you'd like! Hyatt House is another great option that is a 10 minute walk from the venue. There are also other great hotels very close in the area or downtown, which will only be a 5-10 min Uber ride away.
Summer Cocktail Attire! Please plan on checking the weather leading up to the event. Since it is June in Chicago, the weather can be... unpredictable. Our reception will be on the roof, and, while A/C will be available, it could be warm. Alternatively, it’s Chicago, so it could just as well be snowing (just kidding, hopefully)! There is no need to go extremely formal or black tie - look nice, feel good, have fun! For men, slacks, collared shirts, jackets, suit + ties, are all perfect attire. If it will be warm, plan on summer weight or the ability to take your jacket / tie off. For women, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, pants + tops/jackets. We'll also plan to have flips flops for transitioning to dancing!
Smart casual / casual cocktail is fine for Friday! Jeans are absolutely ok; collared shirts in some form are preferred. Please no shorts :-)
Chicago has reached Phase 5 and is fully reopening! Upon entering Phase 5, fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance. Under Phase 5, all sectors of the economy can resume at regular capacity. Phase 5 also marks the return of traditional conventions, festivals, and large events without capacity restrictions. Large gatherings of all sizes can resume across all industry settings, and Phase 5 removes requirements that businesses institute mandatory social distancing in seated venues as well as daily health screenings of employees and visitors. Both of our venues are continuing to require unvaccinated individuals wear masks when not eating/drinking and to socially distance.
While we adore your children, we want you to have the night off on Saturday! Please let us know if you need any suggestions in the area for babysitting or child care services.
We will be adhering to all state and local guidelines related to large events. Our venue has outdoor space and our guest list is moderate in size, so we are hopeful that by June we will be able to comfortably gather. We do plan to ask your vaccination status in the RSVP - we hope you don’t mind sharing. This will help us manage our guest count, seating chart, and safety precautions, nothing more! If needed, we will request wearing masks, getting tested before arriving, and social distancing. We will have elderly and higher risk family members / friends in attendance and we want to ensure their safety and the safety of all of our guests. We are continuously monitoring guidelines and will be in touch with what to expect as we get closer to June. Of course, these are unprecedented times, and it goes without saying that you should do what is best for you. If you are not comfortable attending, we completely understand and will look forward to celebrating together another time!
As of 4/30, Chicago has announced updated guidelines that will allow us to have our intended guest list, so book away! (Note that we won't have more than 120 people). We are thrilled to celebrate with all our favorite people! Hotels are cancelable until 48 hours before check-in, should something come up.
