Maid of Honor
The saying goes that "every brunette needs a blonde best friend" and Robin and I definitely agree, especially on that blonde's wedding day! Inseparable since 2000, even hundreds of miles apart and in two different states. It's almost as if Robin was made for the maid of honor roll with her attention to detail, organizational skills, and crafty expertise!
Best Man
Ran many miles alongside this guy in middle school cross country and high school track and that came with many memories. Even throughout college, we still stayed connected and it was as though we never missed a beat when we got back together. With a friendship like that, I can't imagine anyone else being there with me on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
I discovered my freshman year of college that my soul-twin existed when I met Lindsay. Its almost as if we read each other's minds when it comes to planning our weddings (she's the soon-to-be Mrs. Novak!), life, love, and everything in between! Transferring colleges and living across Lake Michigan have not negatively impacted our friendship, but made it stronger!
Groomsman
Lane and I were what you would call the perfect college roommates. Teammates, video games, parties, you, know...we had fun. Lane is definitely one of those guys you want at your wedding.
Bridesmaid
From our first "girl time" (spent on the couch planning our future weddings that we didn't know when would happen while watching Say Yes to the Dress), I could not believe how similar Steph and I were and the cherry on top was that our boys were besties, too! I had no idea our friendship would grow to what it is now and I am so lucky to have someone like Steph by my side!
Groomsman
I met Nick when he came and ran some workouts with us at North Central and he and I got closer after working at Naperville Running Company. It's always a fun time with Holmes--whether we're going for a run or having double dates with our amazing women (who are also best friends and we love so much), it's great to have him close by.
Bridesmaid
Whenever you get into a new relationship, you hope that your significant other's siblings like you and for me, as an only child, this was super important. I instantly clicked with Mary and now I truly feel as though I have a sister to confide in, laugh with, and go through life with! Mary is my "married friend" in the party and I am so lucky to have her be a part of my day and marriage in general. She's been through it and she is a great role model of a wife.
Groomsman
Dhruvil and I have been through many ups and downs--ups of winning a national championship, down of losing a national championship, and of course, up and down the hill at Blackwell. I got to run with Dhru for two years and then got to work with him as a coach. One of the best competitors I know and one of my closest friends.
Bridesmaid
I am blessed to be gaining TWO sisters and Lucy holds many of the characteristics I would ask for in a sister! I know I will look to her for one of her witty comments on the wedding day and her calm demeanor when the craziness of wedding prep ensues! She's also very honest, so I am glad I recruited her a year ago to come dress shopping with me!
Groomsman
I've been lucky to call Matt one of my closest friends not only because of his unbelievable intelligence, but because he has always been there for me. From school help to life advice, Matt was always there. I had the honor to be in his wedding and it's great to have a married man to help me get through this wedding thing.
Junior Bridesmaids
Every bridal party needs a little bit of sass and mine is lucky enough to have a double dose! From the time Ethan and I started dating and the girls met him, they kept asking when we were going to married and if they could come. Needless to say, I couldn't imagine my wedding day without them!
Ring Bearer
William and Benjamin have given Ethan and I our first taste of "Auntie and Uncle" duties. When we were thinking about our ring bearers, we knew which two adorable little boys would be honored with the opportunity.
Flower Girl
While we were undergraduate students at North Central, Ethan had told me one of the cross country coaches needed a babysitter for his two little girls in the mornings during the cross country preseason. Two total sweetheart girls at 5:30 in the morning? Sign me up! After two preseasons and many days in between, I have truly fallen in love with Olivia and Elena and Ethan and I knew we needed them to share our day with us!
