Boy sees girl at Kaufman Dining Hall at North Central College. Boy follows girl on Twitter. Boy likes all of girl's tweets. Girl is oblivious and thinks boy thinks she's funny. Girl Facebook messages boy and says "hi, I'm Emily." Boy asks girl to meet him at a college party. Boy shows up fashionably late. Boy (thank goodness) remembers the entire night ;). Boy makes girl smile, laugh, and feel safe. Boy asks girl to try out this "dating" thing. Girl says yes. And together, boy and girl share many laughs, tears, trips, challenges, triumphs, and everything in between.

After three years of dating and two kitties, Ethan and Emily decided to take the next step. It had been in the works for a while, but Emily had no idea it was coming when it did. Ethan told Emily that they had dinner plans that Saturday evening and to dress up. Once they got to the restaurant, Ethan got a phone call saying the reservation wasn't quite ready and to check back in 20 minutes. Ethan's idea was to go for a walk on the Riverwalk in Downtown Naperville while Emily would have really enjoyed getting food since she was really hungry. Nonetheless, she went on the walk with him and was starting to get a bit suspicious because of all the small talk Ethan was making, but all of her worries went away when he dropped to one knee at one of the bridges on the Riverwalk. Emily cried and kept asking, "Are you sure?! Is this for real?" before she screamed YES! Little did she know the surprises would keep coming as they walked into Quigley's Irish Pub for dinner and she saw her mom, dad, Ethan's parents, and some of their friends waiting to celebrate. Even more, Ethan arranged for a small engagement party with nearly 20 of their closest friends! Now, it's on to the next chapter and both Emily and Ethan cannot wait for what is to come and to share this moment with their loved ones and friends.
