Our Story

May 2021 - About three weeks after Rachel quit Bohler, Zack and Rachel went on their first date

September 2021 - Zack visited Rachel several times after her move to Seattle and she took him on his first backpacking trip

February 2022 - Zack moved to Seattle and where they frequented Fremont Brewing

July 2022 - Zack and Rachel celebrated their first anniversary by taking a sea plane around Seattle

September 2022 - Rachel and Zack took their first trip together - going to Denver, Red Rocks, and Rocky Mountain national park (not pictured: Zack suffering from mild altitude sickness!)

October 2022 - Friends visit Rachel and Zack in Seattle and Rachel takes them on a grueling hike

December 2022 - Rachel and Zack celebrate new years eve and birthdays with Zack's best friend, Paul

August 2023 - Rachel's best friend, Lauren, visits Seattle and Zack drinks a lot of tequila

November 2023 - Rachel and Zack host Friendsgiving with their Seattle friend group

August 2024 - Zack visited Rachel while she did research and taught in Norway and Rome

October 2024 - Rachel ran her first marathon and Zack was her biggest fan

December 2024 - Rachel and Zack hit the dance floor together at yet another Bohler Christmas Gala

February 2025 - Rachel and Zack adopt their dog, Loki (aka Mr. Goobers)

March 2025 - Rachel, Zack, Emily, and Rachel's Dad run the Rock n Roll half marathon. Little did Rachel know, Zack was about to propose

March 2025 - Zack shocked Rachel by proposing in front of their friends and family after racing the Rock n Roll half marathon in DC

June 2025 - Rachel and Zack attended her PhD graduation and celebrated their engagement, Zack's birthday, and Rachel becoming a Dr with friends and family

July 2025 - Rachel and Zack go to Emerald Isle with Rachel's family and take some impromptu engagement photos

August 2025 - Rachel and Zack go to the Outer Banks with Zack's family and the dogs play nonstop

January 2026 - Rachel and Zack explore Blacksburg a year after their move back to Virginia

May 2026 - Zack runs his first marathon while Rachel, Loki, and friends support
