Our Story

From Swipes to Forever

In the vast digital sea of online dating, we found our perfect match! We're so grateful we both swiped right. After days of lively texts, we decided to meet in person on December 22, 2019, at TGI Fridays in North Port, Florida. Despite the bustling restaurant, we barely touched our food or drinks. Zack, a bundle of adorable nerves, seemed to consume an endless supply of water, while we talked for hours, the conversation flowing seamlessly even after the restaurant closed. A whirlwind week together was cut short when Meagan had to leave for a work commitment out of state. However, the distance did nothing to dampen our connection. We kept in touch all day, every day. Come February 2020, as Meagan prepared to move back to Florida, she asked Zack to join her on the road trip from New York. There was just one catch: he'd have to fly to New York to meet her. Now, Zack hates flying. But, proving his dedication, he graciously agreed. The morning of the flight, a moment of understandable panic struck, and he called Meagan, unsure if he could go through with it. Thankfully, love prevailed, and he boarded that plane! Upon arrival, he immediately took her to meet his mom, a testament to the instant trust and deep connection that had already formed. It was early, but the foundation of a beautiful love was being built. As fate would have it, our bond deepened just in time for the COVID-19 pandemic. We can't imagine navigating those challenging times without each other. Since then, we've shared many adventures, moving from North Port to Hollywood, Florida, for Meagan's residency, and then to Dallas, Texas, for her fellowship. Our favorite moments are often the simple ones: cozy nights on the couch with Netflix, countless fishing trips to the beach and park, plant shopping excursions, and unforgettable vacations to New Orleans, the Florida Panhandle, Richmond, Sevierville, Mesa, Puerto Rico, and the Rocky Mountains. Our hearts grew even more full when we welcomed our adorable Frenchie furbabies, Meatloaf and Potato, into our lives. The proposal was a long-awaited and a beautifully simple moment. On a quiet Monday night, in our pajamas, while watching TV in our living room, Zack got down on one knee, with both of our moms present. It was perfect. We are looking forward to our continued growth together, supporting each other through all of life's ups and downs, and loving each other more with each passing day. We can't wait to celebrate our love and commitment with all of you on our wedding day!
