Where is Springfield, Louisiana?

Answer

Springfield is a town in Livingston Parish in Louisiana. It is about an hour drive from Baton Rouge and also about an hour drive from New Orleans, possibly more with traffic. Please plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to be seated. Ceremony will start at 7:00 p.m.

Can I bring a "Plus One"?

Answer

Due to capacity constraints, we are only able to accommodate named guests listed on your invitation. We hope you understand and can't wait to celebrate with you!

Are children welcome?

Answer

This is an adults- only evening event where guests must be over 21 yrs old.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Black tie optional: suits and dresses or pantsuits.

What color are the bridesmaid dresses?

Answer

Bridesmaids are wearing black floor length halter-style gowns and groomsmen are wearing classic black tuxes.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Please no photos or videos at the ceremony, as we have hired two lovely professionals to capture these moments. Feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like at cocktail hour and on the dance floor at the reception!

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception? Is there a cost?

Answer

Yes, there will be plenty of parking in the lots in the front of the venue. Parking is free.

I am an out-of-town guest. What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is about an hour drive to Carter Plantation. New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) is also about an hour drive to Carter Plantation.

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

Answer

Transportation is on your own. If you stay on site, the venue is a short walk from the Villas.

Question

I am staying on site at a Villa. What time can I check in?

Answer

Check-in time is 3:00 pm, however, feel free to call ahead to check to see if your room is ready earlier. If the room is ready, you will be able to check-in sooner. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. You can request a later check out time, but this is dependent on availability and if there is another event the next day.

I am staying on site at a Villa. Is there room service?

Answer

No, there is no room service option but you can go to the Carter Bar and Grill for breakfast on Saturday morning if you like. If you come early on Friday, the Carter Bar and Grill will also have lunch available as well.

I am staying on site at a Villa. Where do I park?

Answer

There is parking available at each Villa or in a nearby lot that is a short walk.
