Zack and Linnea met at LSU Law School in Fall 2018. He was assigned as her mentor for her 1L year, and they soon became friends. Zack would invite Linnea to parties, and they would see each other at many law tailgates and events. Linnea would frequently stop to talk to Zack at the law library front desk, where he worked part time during law school, to seek his advice on classes, exams, and professors. Many times Zack and Linnea would study together on the 3rd floor of the law library. One day in early 2020, Linnea had an extra ticket to a Mardi Gras ball and asked Zack if he wanted to attend. They had a fun time dancing and sparks flew! On March 1, 2020, Zack officially asked Linnea to be his girlfriend and they have been together ever since.

Linnea was preparing for a trial one Saturday morning on June 22, 2024, when she received a panicked phone call that her dad and Zack were broken down near the law school. She raced over to save them from the Louisiana heat, only to find Zack near the law school fountain with flowers and music, near where they first met. He got down on one knee and she said yes! It was a very special and memorable day that they will never forget.
