You will be picked up by a transfer service provided by bride and groom that will take you the wedding venue hotel Costa Verde Hotel. They will meet you as soon as you get off the plane with a sign. The drive from airport to hotel venue is about 2.5 - 3 hrs. If you do not sign up for transportation prior to March 15th, then you are responsible for costs/planning ride on your own. Please refer to Travel tab for booking details.
This one’s becoming increasingly common, especially around Manuel Antonio National Park next to where we are staying, or some city lots in San Jose. As you approach the parking area, an official-looking uniformed attendant will approach your car and tell you that the lot is full, directing you to an alternative (more expensive) place to leave your vehicle. Check for yourself that the main lot is full before falling for this.

Costa Rica’s many pristine sandy beaches are wonderful for passing those lazy afternoons in the tropical heat. However, being only 10 degrees north of the equator, the sun is often very strong. Make sure you bring plenty of high SPF sunscreen, particularly if you’re prone to getting burnt. Again, buy the sunscreen before you go, since it will undoubtedly be cheaper.
Do not book a room in bungalow A-14 or A-15. They are further up the road requiring a short drive and not recommended for walking by the hotel staff.
We recommend flying out of Orlando, Florida to San Jose, Costa Rica airport. The flight is about 3 hours-nonstop. This will allow our transport service to pick you up.
Between 2-6 months prior to wedding. Bride and Groom will be booking their flights roughly 3-4 months prior to wedding, or based on price changes.
Most guests are flying in Tuesday March 21st and leaving Saturday March 25th. Feel free to stay longer or shorter, its your vacation!
We do not recommend exchanging currencies at the airport (you lose money) or at all. Bring a bunch of small bills -$1, $5, $10’s $20’s. They will not accept any ripped bills, even a micro tear they are very picky.
Rehearsal dinner and wedding reception dinner are included. There are multiple restaurants and food options located on site that do not require driving. They offer breakfast - lunch - dinner. Note * When dining on your own time during the trip it is considered impolite for server to bring you the meal check, until asked.
You will be dropped off at Costa Verda hotel for check in. Depending on which day/time you arrive, all guests are invited to every wedding festivity listed on the hotel stay itinerary such as meet and greet cocktail hour and rehearsal dinner.
