Question

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

Answer

Though we love your little ones, we are going to be a kid-free celebration.

Question

DO I NEED A CAR?

Answer

If you are staying at a hotel/B&B in Town, then you DO NOT NEED A CAR. Block Island is 7 miles long and 3 miles wide. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, and bars within walking distance of Town. The beach is also within a 5 minute walk. All ferries pull into the dock in Town besides the Montauk ferry, which is approximately a 5 minute car ride to town. There are taxis available for island tours and general transportation around the Island. You can also rent bikes and mopeds if you want to explore! We only recommend bringing a vehicle if you are renting a house, or staying outside of the Town. The only way to transport a vehicle to Block Island is on the Point Judith Ferry that leaves from Narragansett, RI. Advanced bookings are REQUIRED and OPEN January 13th! Popular travel days like Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday usually book up by the end of January! The approximate cost for a vehicle is $78 roundtrip.

Question

CAN I USE MY CREDIT CARD?

Answer

Most of the island is cash only. Some restaurants and shops will accept credit cards and there are ATMs on the island as well as the ferry. Taxis on the island are cash only.
