Zach and Katie met while attending the University of New Hampshire, Katie had just started her Freshmen Year. Zach spotted her with her friends on the side of the road, and asked if she wanted to come to a party. Katie thought his dinosaur backpack was funny so she agreed. That night, Zach tried to impress her by holding a cobra (his worst fear) -- also, neither of us remember where the snake came from...college, right? -- A couple days later, Katie got a text message from an unknown number, and realized that cute boy had asked her friends for her number and wanted to see her again. Fast forward to 10 years later, Zach and Katie live in their new house in Watertown, MA with their precious son, Charlie (the pup).
Aspen, CO. December 29th, 2020. Zach and his family had planned a romantic proposal under the lights, surrounded by snow covered trees. But as we all know, nothing ever goes as planned. After flying in from Boston, Zach and Katie arrived with the news that the entire town did not have gas. For 3 days there was no heat, no hot water, no showers. The restaurant where the reservation was made was closed and with no idea of when the gas would be turned back on, the family made quick adjustments while Katie was unknowingly working. While walking to the restaurant, Zach asked Katie to come with him to see the lit trees. He got down on one knee, and proposed with Katie's dream ring. His whole family had been filming and photographing the entire event, hiding behind snow mounds and roof decks. They all enjoyed a delicious dinner, a few glasses of champagne, and sharing the news with family and friends.
