Once you receive our formal invitation, in order to coordinate with our vendors we ask that you RSVP on our website by June 29th, 2026. If we have not heard from you by that deadline, we will plan to celebrate with you at a different time.
We have a room block at The Irish Cottage (see travel & accommodations page). You are also welcome to stay at other hotels & Airbnbs in the area, just note that transportation to and from the venue will only be provided from the Irish Cottage.
Yes- Galena is a small tourist town in peak wedding season. Per the hotel and city of galena policy, all hotels in the area have a two night minimum! Galena has so much to offer, we hope that you still are able to celebrate with us!
No- we did not want our guests to have any stress when celebrating our special day so we are working with our favorite travel agent Becky (Travel with Becky). She is in charge of ALL bookings for the Irish Cottage. Please reach out to her directly, she will help you book your stay and take all the stress off our guests. Please arrive to the venue no later than 3:30pm, our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Our ceremony space does have limited seating so plan accordingly.
We would love to see our friends and family dressed up so we are requesting formal attire!
Yes! The ceremony and cocktail hour if weather permits will both be hosted outdoors please plan accordingly. Dinner and dancing to follow will be held indoors.
We have so much love for your little ones, but we thought you might enjoy a date night so our wedding is an adults only event! We hope that you have ample time to make arrangements to be a part of our big day!
Due to our venues limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.
No, we have an amazing photographer and videographer so we are having an "unplugged" ceremony. We kindly ask that you refrain from taking any photos or videos during the ceremony. We hope you can enjoy this moment with us and save all the photo ops for after the ceremony!
Yes there will be a shuttle service provided from hotels where we have room blocks. Shuttle service times will be determined as the date gets closer so check back with updates!
Yes there is on-site parking at our venue however, over-night parking is not allowed so please plan accordingly. Ubers in the area are limited.
