On August 30, 2023, Kacie and Zach officially got off Hinge and met for coffee at Sweet Bloom. Instead of the usual first-date small talk, the conversation flowed into bigger things like the world, the communities they care deeply about, and their own journeys of healing. Zach left not knowing all the details of Kacie’s story, but knowing how she saw the world, what mattered to her, what she cherished, and how she approached life. He saw that she was engaging, smart, and beautiful. Kacie left feeling drawn to Zach’s thoughtful way of moving through the world, his love for his family and friends, and the genuine curiosity he showed for her life. It was easy for both of them to imagine their lives naturally intertwining. Just a few days later, on September 3, 2023, they went on a hike to earn the approval of the most important judge—Barley. Very unlike her, Barley immediately took to Zach, sealing the deal. That November, Kacie and Zach took their first road trip together to Zion National Park. Zach nearly got hypothermia hiking the Narrows, and Kacie almost ran the car out of gas in the middle of the desert. Luckily, they’re both fans of Type 2 fun and it’s still one of their favorite trips. Fast forward to now, and they’ve built a life rooted in love, joy, and presence. They show up for one another, support each other through life’s twists and turns, and continue to grow as a team. They are so excited to celebrate their love with all of you this September. This day brings together the people who have shaped their lives, put faces to names, and reflect the deep value they place on community and connection. While they will always choose each other first, they hold immense love and gratitude for everyone invited. They are a team, and they can’t wait to spend forever loving one another.
