Golf
Ireland is famous for its many golf courses. While there are plenty in the area, tee times tend to fill up during the summer months. We recommend booking times as soon as possible to ensure you can get a round in. Some tee times are available at Dromoland Castle but they are limited; please use the contact below and mention you are a guest of our wedding (we have blocked tee times & they will honor the resident green fee of €165pp). Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's most iconic natural landmarks, with dramatic 700-foot drops straight into the Atlantic. The area includes hiking paths, sight seeing, and boat tours.
The Aran Islands
The Aran Islands are famous for their remoteness and their preservation of Irish traditions. If you are looking for a day trip while you are in Ireland, The Aran Islands are a great option. We recommend taking one of the van tours around the island. Ferries run from Doolin to the Islands during the summer and the Cliffs of Moher can be seen during the ride.
Tour Bunratty Castle & Folk Park
Bunratty Castle is a historically preserved medieval castle in County Clare where you can step into the 15th-century and wander a charming recreated Irish village right on the grounds. About a 15 minute ride from Dromoland!
Explore Ennis
Ennis is the largest town near Dromoland and where some of our wedding events will take place. Ennis is a charming town with lots to explore!
Visit Limerick
Limerick is Ireland's third largest city and is famous for its Viking history. About a 30 minute drive from Dromoland Castle, Limerick can easily be reached by car or taxi.
The Burren
The Burren is a unique limestone landscape stretching over ~140 sq miles. The area features walking trails and beautiful vistas. This area is also famous for its caves, including Doolin Cave which has one of the largest stalactites in the world.
