The hiking here is also fantastic—check out Kaaterskill Falls and explore the stunning Catskill Mountains for some fresh air and scenic views.
New York’s capital city offers a mix of culture, nature, and nightlife. If you’re passing through, we highly recommend 677 Prime, a steakhouse perfect for a memorable dinner. Albany also features historic sites, museums, beautiful parks and preserves, shopping, and a vibrant bar and restaurant scene.
A little off the beaten path, Cobleskill is a charming small town located about 40 minutes west of Albany. We spent a weekend here and loved the cozy shops and relaxed vibe. The real highlight? Howe Caverns—a fascinating underground cave system, such a fun and unique experience!
Known as the home of baseball, Cooperstown offers a fun mix of sports, history, arts, and outdoor activities. Zach especially loved visiting the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum—a must for any baseball fan! The town also features art galleries, scenic lake views, and great local restaurants and shops.
Bolton Landing is a delightful town on Lake George filled with shops, restaurants, and lakeside activities. You can explore the nearby Sagamore Hotel—a historic luxury resort with restaurants, a spa, and stunning views. Around Lake George, enjoy everything from boat rentals and steamship cruises to kayaking, fishing, hiking, and camping. There’s truly something for everyone!
