Zachary & Nora

Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Jim Capodice

Best Man

Jim became Zach's Chicago dad. He took Zach under his wing, they became best friends in Chicago. They had fun adventures together and can always make each other laugh. In a trip out to Haiti, Jim and Zach helped build a school, taught sign language, and led 20 students to the Lord. Though they are separated by many years as this is why Zach calls him his Chicago dad, they are closer than anyone their own age. Jim has taught Zach many lessons in life about what it truly means to be a man of God. Jim has challenged Zach, mentored Zach, They have been to Cubs games, professional hockey games, and saw the Chicago Bears as well, they have shed tears and blood for each other, and will continue to do so. A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. Proverbs 17:17

Seth Williams

Best Man

Seth, Zach's actual brother. They have been through challenges together, they have fought each other and fought for each other. When you see them in a fight, dont try and stop it, they will have each others back and it will be as though there fight never happened. Seth is studying to be a lawyer has taught Zach life lessons, and though Seth is younger, Zach can be proud of his brother and look up to him. Seth is one who is determined, does not hold anything back, and will protect his family. Seth is probably the most wise person in the family, and he will let you know it too. He can sing, beat box, and play a harmonica like no one's business, Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people. Philemon 1:7

Luke Kockler

Groomsman

Luke, is a man that is on fire for the Lord and has great engird and loves people well. Luke and I went on a trip to Israel together where our love for each other grew tremendously. There was one night that I stayed the night over at his house, and I accidentally clogged the toilet and it started to overflow later that evening, and water was leaking everywhere. Luke and I got pretty close after that we had times of worship together, doing music together, and played golf a week before his wedding. Luke is someone who will do anything without worrying who or what is around him. He loves essential oils and loves making kombucha. Luke was one who encouraged me to join him in volunteering at a Celebrate Recovery and that was the first time I met Jim., and us three have been close ever since.

Christian Watson

Groomsman

Christian was a fireball of frustration when I first met him, there was a lot of stored up anger and hurt, but as time went on and our friendship grew, I saw a love burst out of him more than I have seen in anyone. He went from someone who would punch street signs after a hard night of Free Prayer, to running out in the middle of the street risking his own life to save another from being hit by a car. Christian is a caring and compassionate man of God, and a wonderful now husband to Melanie. Christian and I even had a time where we snuck into Trump Tower in Chicago, and got caught and were told to never come back there again. Christian is one who will pray for anyone at anytime, he has given up sleep and rest to stay up in the wee hours of the night to pray and tell others about Christ

Matthew Laws

Groomsman

I had the privilege of growing up with this man. He is one who cares and loves others deeply. We had fun times growing up watching our parents play softball, going to water parks, boxing one another, and even doing an unexpected camp out on top of a hill in San Bernardino. We have had fun times going wine tasting, and I had the honor of seeing Matt fall in love with his now wife Angela, and love her well, and treat her like a Godly man should. Matt has been one who has encouraged me in my walk with the Lord, one who has been there and listened to me, and one who has taught me how to love others well. Matt is caring, compassionate, filled with love and grace. He is a huge dodger fan, but more importantly has a genuine heart to love others so well.We also almost got one Lets Make a Deal.

Philip Thomas

Groomsman

This is my cousin, but I also consider him as my brother. I look up to him as an older brother, as I never knew my older brother Jacob as he died in my moms womb, and she still had to deliver him. My cousin has been through a lot in his life, but he has made the most of it and I am so proud of him. He has shown me what it looks like to work hard and how when you want something and are determined, you can and will accomplish it. He has taken care of his three sisters so well, and is an amazing father, and one who I can look up to. Despite difficulties and hardships that he has faced, he has lived the life of the true American dream, and has done amazing things for himself. He is a quiet spirit, but is full of wisdom and truth, when he speaks listen. He is a peacemaker, a lover not a fighter

Jared Bohl

Groomsman

When I first met Jared, I knew I was in for some excitement and adventure. Jared is one that I knew was on fire for the Lord, and all he wanted to do was serve Him. Jared and I became roommates and him and I would hang out quite a bit, even taking a trip to Indiana to visit his family. Along the way we would worship and praise the Lord. Jared was one that I saw was always looking for an opportunity to share the Gospel, offer prayer for others, and take time out of his day to serve those around him. He is wild and crazy, and I think that is why we became friends. Jared is one who is always up for any adventure, but one thing is for sure he can not drive very well. Though he has gotten better. Jared always has a heart for sharing the Gospel and whenever you see him this is what He will do

Maria-Ninfa Ortega

Matron of Honor

Maria-Ninfa is Nora's older sister and first friend. Her and Nora have been on having many adventures together and many times of play and imagination. She is loyal, caring, and makes things happen. She plans fun family outings and helps us explore. Nora admires Ninfa and her ability to be an amazing daughter, mother, wife, sister, and friend. Nora can remember and will cherish the many times and ways Ninfa told stories, using so much enthusiasm and humor. Nora is so blessed and thankful to God for allowing her to have Ninfa as a sister and making her an auntie!!! This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. 1 John 3:10

Oksana Ortega

Maid of Honor

Oksana is one of Nora's younger sisters. Her and Nora are four years apart but Nora always felt like they were closer in age. Oksana and Nora got into some crazy adventures in their younger years, making igloos, riding bicycles, going rollerblading, climbing on roofs, and much more. They shared a room for years and have had many late night talks, and laughter. Nora admires her tenacity, her maturity over the years, and all her accomplishments. Oksana has been an influential part of Nora's life and Nora learns many things from the way her sister carries herself. Nora is thankful to God for Oksana. He knew Nora would need someone like her! Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 1 John 2:10

Dayanara Ortega

Maid of Honor

Dayanara is the youngest of the crew but one would never know because she caught up in height to all of the sisters. No one in the Ortega family could imagine life without her and we are truly blessed by this gift of a young lady. Dayanara's hugs are the best and her sense of exploration is well received. Dayanara has the best expressions and is very loving. This volleyball star cares for friends, teammates, classmates, and family. Nora's favorite memories are when she was a lot younger (and shorter than Nora) they would go to the playground and the ways Daya would get everyone to play board games. Nora is very proud and impressed by Dayanara and also thanks God for this precious sister. “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3:14

Jessica Yi

Bridesmaid

Jess and Nora met at a house church through Journey Christian Fellowship. Nora noted Jess's tender ways of listening and caring for others. It took a few months before they officially hung out (which really displays Jess's patience and grace). Jess has great drive and is a brilliant woman. Being a passionate scientist and a courageous soul, Jess entered the teaching field. Nora knew she had a friend to understand, pray, and endure the trials and joys of teaching at public schools. Their friendship has grown and been through different seasons and Nora feels honored by Jess joining her in the wedding season. She has been an amazing friend and I thank God for her. Ointments and perfume encourage the heart; in a similar way, a friend's advice is sweet to the soul. Proverbs 27:9

Chloe Charuma

Bridesmaid

Chloe and Nora met in high school. Chloe is kind, joyful, and considerate. A fond memory is when Chloe and Nora drove down to Fullerton to visit one of Chloe's friends. During the ride they talked about life and Jesus. They would keep in touch over the years and meet up at the coffee shop in their home town during holidays and breaks, It was always a blessing and fruitful times of prayer and wonders about life and the Creator. I am so blessed to have a friendship with Chloe and I am thankful God crossed and kept our paths connected. “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35
