Steamboat has a charming downtown area with a variety of restaurants, shops & events. Some of our favorites are breakfast at Winona's, live music at The Press, Mexican food on the river at Taco Cabo, pizza & beers at Mountain Tap Brewery, luxury dinners at Primrose, and late night dance parties at Shmiggity's. The farmer's market takes place on Yampa Street every Saturday morning. Click the link to check out all the fun events & happening taking place downtown while you are in Steamboat.
The Yampa River is the place to be during the summer in Steamboat. Catch trout at the various fishing holes, rent/buy a tube and take a relaxing float through town, watch paddle boarders surf in C-hole, or soak in the hippy hot springs. The paved Core Trail follows the Yampa River for 7 miles and is the perfect place for mellow bike rides or walks through beautiful scenery.
Nestled along scenic Yampa Street between 5th and 8th, the Steamboat Springs Farmers Market pops up every Saturday from June 7th to September 20th, 2025, bringing small-town charm and big-time flavor from 9 AM to 2 PM. With over 150 vendors each week, there’s always something new to discover! Stock up on the freshest veggies, locally raised buffalo, chicken, beef, seafood, and trout. Spice things up with specialty sauces, indulge in sweet treats, and explore handcrafted goods from talented local artisans.
