Immerse yourself into the Charlevoix rockhound culture by finding some Petoskey stones. The Charlevoix area beaches are touted as one of the best places to search. Look for Petoskey stones at Fisherman's Island State Park, Michigan Beach, and Mt. McSauba Recreation Area.

Visit North Seas Gallery and Antiques for a rare (U.S.) collection of paintings by Dutch masters and a collection of bronze statues. A few miles south of town, Bier Art Gallery and Pottery Studio showcases the combined works of some 100 areas artists and the pottery of the Bier family

Take a Hike

NORTH POINT NATURE PRESERVE 28 acres of woods and sand dunes bordered by Mt. McSauba. Perfect for hiking, biking, and relaxing. FISHERMAN'S ISLAND STATE PARK Five miles of unspoiled Lake Michigan shoreline with a beach, miles of hiking trails and rolling dunes. CHARLEVOIX SOUTH PIER LIGHT STATION Located on Lake Michigan at the end of the channel leading to Round Lake. Take a short walk and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
