A favorite of the couple's, Armadillo Grill serves classic Tex-Mex in the heart of Carrboro. Katie and Zach love to eat here for lunch or dinner and highly recommend the queso!
Sutton's Drug Store
Sutton's Drug Store is a classic Chapel Hill restaurant. Zach and Katie spent many lunches here in their college days, and continue to eat here about once a week. The staff feel like family and the food hits the spot! Drop by for an old-school diner experience. Sutton's is also hosting the couple's rehearsal dinner.
411 West Italian Cafe
411 West is the perfect local for a dinner date or Sunday Brunch. The couple love to eat at 411 when they're craving Italian or having a night out. 411 is part of the Chapel Hill Restaurant Group, which is catering the reception.
Morehead Planetarium and Science Center
Morehead is close to Katie and Zach's hearts because they were both employed there for a time (Katie for about a year, Zach for 4 years) AND it's where the couple got engaged in May of 2018. Morehead is a great place for afternoon fun. Swing by to see a show in the Full Dome Theatre (Carolina Skies comes highly recommended) and learn about the universe or picnic in the grass or on the sundial!
North Carolina Botanical Garden
The Botanical Gardens are a beautiful place to spend a spring afternoon. Full of plants native to North Carolina, it is both educational and fun! The trails behind the gardens themselves are also a favorite of the couple's. Hikes can range from casual to semi-challenging and are a great place to bring your dog!
Carolina Basketball Museum
The Carolina Basketball Museum exhibits the greatness that is Carolina Basketball! Whether you've grown up a Tar Heel or you're a new fan, the history belongs to you. Swing by to see why Carolina basketball is such an exciting and important part of Katie and Zach's lives.
