Things To Do

The options are endless! We've listed some of our favorite Jackson activities below.
Yellowstone - South Entrance

Yellowstone - South Entrance

South Entrance Road, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190

The south entrance of Yellowstone National Park is an hour drive from Jackson Square. The drive takes you by Grand Teton National Park with stunning views and pull offs for great photo spots. Old Faithful is about 40 minutes further, once you get inside the gates. There are endless things to do in Yellowstone, but our favorites on the southern end of the park include the West Thumb Geyser Basin, Midway Geyser Basin, and Fountain Paint Pot. Old Faithful is definitely a bucket list item as well, an erupts every 60-90 minutes.

The park has unlimited hiking and biking trails, you can rent a kayak to take out on Jenny Lake, or you can take the shuttle boat across Jenny Lake which drops you off near Inspiration Point and Hidden Falls.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

One of the most popular ski resorts in the country, located about 20-30 minutes away from the Town Square. Ride the Gondola or Aerial Tram to the summit, rent a bike and hit the bike park, or get lunch at the popular Mangy Moose.

Dave Hansen Whitewater and Scenic River Trips

Whitewater or Scenic Rafting on the Snake River. 8 miles with a good mix of calm sections and exciting rapids for a half day experience. There of other companies in Jackson, but Zach and I used this company and they were great!

Jackson Hole Rodeo

Jackson Hole Rodeo

447 West Snow King Avenue, Jackson, WY 83001
, (307) 733-9727

If you are in town Wednesday night I would definitely suggest checking out the Rodeo! It is right down town, and is a Jackson Hole classic, complete with bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping, and more.

E-Bikes of Jackson Hole

E-Bikes of Jackson Hole

490 West Broadway, Jackson, WY 83002
, (307) 733-7375

Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park have over 65 miles of bicycle and pedestrian friendly pathways. Rent an E-Bike and ride around town, or spend a few hours biking the Grand Loop, which takes you out of town, by Jackson Hole Ski Resort, through the Grand Teton National Park, and back into town along perimeter of the Elk Refuge. The E-Bikes were amazing and definitely took the edge off!

The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar was established in 1937 and is a true western drinking and entertainment venue, famous for their western dancing and live entertainment. Live music almost nightly, and horse saddles for barstools. Definitely a place to stop by when in the Town Square.
