The Charleston International Airport (CHS) is the closest airport to Kiawah Island, which is about a 45 minute drive. There are many direct flights to Charleston from NYC, NJ, Philadelphia, DC, Boston, and other cities. We recommend booking flights early to ensure reasonable prices.

Ubers are available from the airport, or you can reserve a car service. See below for a few options. We recommend using Uber, rather than Lyft, as Lyft rides are subject to a gate fee on the island. Once on the island, Ubers and taxis are not readily available. We encourage guests who want to explore the island to consider renting a car for more flexibility over the weekend or to schedule your return uber or car service ahead of time for your return trip to the airport. Carpool with friends who have rental cars! Those who choose to book a rental home or villa through the Kiawah Island Resort will have access to their complimentary on-demand shuttle service throughout your stay.
