The mountains are calling

We ask that you please be in the moment and refrain from taking pictures and videos during the ceremony. We will allow for everyone to have a minute to take pictures once we are announced as Mr and Mrs!

It was a typical Saturday night out at Le Moyne College (aka - you could find us at Mully's & Clinton Street Pub)! Zach a junior out with his friends, Carly a senior out with hers. As the night ends, the two groups merge into one to share a cab back toward campus. Carly is one of the first few to get in and as she steps through the door, she smashes her head on the top of the cab. As soon as she sits down in the back seat (while rubbing her head in pain), the guy next to her starts making jokes and talking to her. He was quite chatty and persistent to find out her name. We chat in the car until it is time to go our separate ways back to Harwood and Phillips. Fast forward 5 months, we meet again as our friends try to plan a dinner soiree, which required "dates" and apparently we were paired together. Though this dinner never happened, it got us talking to each other and now we are on our way to say I DO!

We had been planning for both our parents to come visit us in Denver for Labor Day Weekend. We had dinner plans, fly fishing plans, concert plans & little did Carly know, ENGAGEMENT PLANS! Zach made dinner reservations for Friday night & invited our two friends to join us (who were secretly in on the plan). Before heading to dinner, we stopped to get some pre-dinner cocktails in Larimer Square. At this point, Zach is starting to get antsy and Carly is mindlessly enjoying her drink. With 45 minutes until dinner, Zach starts to round up the group to go take pictures under the lights "for his Mom". Carly being Carly, says "why are we heading over now? The restaurant is across the street & we still have 45 minutes" but he insists we need the picture now so we go. We take a few group shots then some of just us. As we stand there in the center of the square, Zach asks for a kiss, says I love you and drops to one knee. In shock, Carly screams out and turns away in disbelief just to turn around to see it is actually happening! Of course she said yes and everyone around started to cheer!
