We grew around each other amidst the salt and the sand. Treasure Island, FL brought the greatest two weeks of joy each summer. The summer of 2019 changed our lives forever. We were not looking for a romance but stumbled into a great love. Zach and I stayed friends for another month after July 2019. We started dating on August 30, 2019, and from there we have prayed and dated with the intention of marriage. Our intentionality, faith, and support from our families have brought us to this joyous time of planning for our impending wedding. Zach and I could not be more excited for joining our lives together.

On the day of our proposal, we were supposed to meet my grandparents in Madison, GA after church. Zach and I left our church service early during the invitation. We raced home to pack my bag and drive to Madison. When we got to Madison, we parked and I called my grandparents. My grandparents said we had time to kill. We headed down the hill to a wooded trail. On the trail, we stopped to look at the creek. Zach asked if we could keep walking. We came to a pavilion with huge ferns and elegant vines. He asked if I was sure about getting engaged and before I could give him a look he asked me to marry him. After saying yes, I got to take in this wonderful surprise and realize each moment had been captured by Mrs. Kalie. At the Madison Chophouse, we celebrated our engagement with our parents, siblings, and grandparents. I was truly surprised and so in love with 11.7.21!
