Beautiful historical House on the water. The gardens are stunning, the closest thing to a castle in the area. Admission $25.
A FUN, vibrant neighborhood with some of the best food options in Miami. You'll find every building is decked out in colorful paintings and busy streets of tourists and locals alike. Check out Zac's favorite coffee spot, La Colada Gourmet, Coyo Taco for the best carne asada quesadilla you'll ever have, and Salt and Straw some unique PNW ice cream.
Zac's favo(u)rite coffee! This location is in the Wynwood Art District, but if you want to visit the original location, check out the one on 8th street (down in little Havana)!
THE original spot for Cuban food. If you're in Miami, you can't miss this one.
We've never been but we've seen the Instagram pics. Looks like a blast.
This is further north of Fort Lauderdale, but a great time if you make it up there. It's two mini 18 hole golf courses with unlimited play. They're designed to look like golfing greens, elevating the experience. They even serve drinks on the course directly to whatever hole you're at. Zac took me for my birthday and we had a blast.
This is where we met 10 years ago! Stop here for some great pizza and an easily accessible beach in the Fort Lauderdale area.
If you're looking to catch some big fish, Jedidiah knows where to find them! Based out of Fort Lauderdale, this is a successful fishing charter. Let them know Cheryl or Andrew Coleman sent you.
While we don't recommend you drive all the way to Key West, there's plenty to do in Key Largo. About 45 min - 1 hr south of Miami, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park has boating and snorkeling tours, as well as access to kayaking through the mangroves (this will be hot). Or, you can head further south to Theater of the Sea to see (hah) dolphins, sea turtles, seals, and other rescued wildlife on full display.
