Caleb and Maya met while they were in high school through mutual friends, Maya admits that she had a massive crush and that Caleb was her first love. They were in neighbouring schools, however, didn't see each other all that often. But their paths crossed again in 2020 and they started dating. As a young couple in a relationship, Maya and Caleb were finding their way into adult hood, and the inevitable need of growth creeped up on them. Fortunately, with the influence from their families and a change of heart, their hearts were taken on a journey to pursue God. They have had a better and more successful relationship with God and it will only get more fruitful from here, along with the unconditional love and support from their precious families. Maya and Caleb were engaged in May 2023, and with the final push and encouragement from Craig (Calebs dad) means that it will be a full circle moment getting married in Fiji at the same resort where Caleb proposed. Caleb and Maya are very much 'opposites attract'. Caleb is more introverted and calm, Maya is more extroverted, LOUD and in typical Maya style, everything needs to be big and glamourous. But, they very much compliment one another in their own way. Maya and Caleb were asked recently what their favourite things are about each other: For me, Caleb is a calm person and he balances my wild energy and is my calm. When my mind races, he knows how to calm me and make everything ok in the chaos I mostly create for myself. He also enables my most outrageous ideas (you will see at the wedding), where my visions and plans come to life and he would be there to enjoy it with me. Most of all, my favourite thing and one of the many things I love about him, is his generosity and kindness. The generosity and kindness is not only reserved for me, he never fails to act with these virtues toward our family and friends. My reason for falling in love with Maya stemmed from one aspect about her personality. She is the most wonderfully, beautifully, whole heartedly, extravagantly loving to her friends, her family and to me. Maya lights up my life, she is my best friend and she makes me want to be better man. She has a contagious laugh and a wonderful sense of humour. She is full of wonder, beauty and joy for the people around her, and in maya fashion, she is EXTRAVAGANT in all that she does.
