Our story begins with a bee. Yvette and I met on Bumble, a dating app, in September 2019 with no idea or intention that a simple swipe to the right would forever change our lives. From the first meeting, it was clear that conversing with each other was natural and almost like we had known each other for years. Though we remained friends for some time, the COVID-19 epidemic strangely paused the world around us while also moving our relationship forward. On July 5, 2020, Yvette and I officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. As the days turned to weeks, the weeks into months, and the months into years, our story is a testament that love can come and grow in the most unexpected times and places.
