Flight
We highly encourage guests to fly in and out of Benito Juarez International Airport. After customs and baggage claim, look for signs that read "Taxis Autorizados," "Sitios," or "Taxi Kiosk". Pay at the booth for your destination; this is safer as you avoid haggling and potential scams. You will then receive a ticket with your destination and driver information. You can find the driver/car matching your ticket number, usually near the exit. Expect around 200-400 pesos (roughly $10-$20 USD) to the city center, depending on the zone. Uber is also easily accessible throughout the city for any additional travel needs.
Hotel
We have reserved a room block at The Colony Residences & Suites, located in the Roma Norte neighborhood of Mexico City. Roma Norte is a vibrant, central area with great restaurants, cafés, and shops. Please note that travel will be required from the hotel to our wedding venue, and we recommend allowing extra time for traffic when planning your transportation. The wedding discount code is valid for reservations made for stays between July 22nd and July 29th. Guests are also welcome to book accommodations at other hotels or lodging options in different neighborhoods throughout the city—choose what works best for your stay.

Travel Note
Our venue is located in the historic neighborhood of Coyoacán, Mexico City. The borough is known for its charming cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, vibrant plazas, museums (especially the Frida Kahlo Museum), markets, and a distinct village-like atmosphere. While Coyoacán is the closest location to Casa Xipe, we understand that some guests may want to explore outside of this neighborhood. Other areas that we recommend for accommodations and/or visiting are Polanco, Condesa, Roma Norte, Zona Rosa, and Juarez.
Travel Note
Mexico City is vibrant, exciting, and generally very welcoming—but like any major city, a little awareness goes a long way. Give yourself plenty of extra time to get around, as traffic can be unpredictable (especially during rush hours). We recommend using Uber or authorized taxis rather than hailing cars on the street. Keep personal belongings secure, avoid flashing valuables, and be mindful in crowded areas. When enjoying street food, look for busy stands with high turnover and freshly prepared items, and stick to bottled water. As with any destination, be cautious of common scams and trust your instincts. With a bit of planning and awareness, you’ll have an amazing experience exploring the city!
