While living in Atlanta post-graduation, Sam invited his college friend to his office holiday party. When they came back to his friend's apartment, Sam drunkenly sat on the floor of what ended up being Jess' kitchen she shared with her roommate--Sam's college friend. Sam got acquainted with Jess' cats and Jess got acquainted with how cute Sam was. After eventually exchanging numbers, the two had their first date in January 2020 and the rest is history.

In the towering Redwood Forests that Jess had always loved (and held as a standard for "oh wow that's a tall tree"), Sam surprised Jess with a tapestry of all the U.S. National Parks with little photographs from the Parks they had visited. After promising to continue exploring them all together, he asked her to marry him. She said yes. We're so excited to celebrate with our friends and family with this non-traditional weekend wedding. We hope you can join us for the whole weekend and explore the delights of the Pacific Northwest with us -- the place where we lived together as a couple for the first time and where we both realized we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
