Yucy‘s mother is a great mom. She used to be a very successful businesswoman. Now she is retired, she has her own shop and sells groceries. She has raised Yucy and her sister and brother, and they are grateful to her! Yucy describes her mother’s love as being like warmth from the sun. There’s a saying in China that says ‘Such kindness of warm sun, can't be repaid by grass." Meaning she gives her love knowing she may never fully get it back in return, and she just wants her kids to grow and be happy. She’s a giver of infinite love. She knows her kid’s happiness is everything she needs to be happy.

Father of the Bride
Yucy’s father used to be a professor of philosophy at the university in Heze, China. Later, he retired and served as the president of our neighborhood committee. He is a very serious political man. But the other side, everyone who knows him says he is a kind-hearted man. He often helps our neighbours and some strangers whom he doesn’t know at all. By his own talents and efforts, he has secured for the family a good social position and an abundant life. At home, he is a harsh parent. He has high expectations of Yucy. He taught Yucy to never give up, always be positive, be patient, and enjoy every day of life.
Carol Rumsey
Mother of the Groom
Carol has been a wonderful mom to Austin for 36 years! She has supported Austin throughout his life and encouraged him to serve others and do what’s right. She’s also an inspirational artist, the way she plays piano, creates masterpieces in the kitchen, and does calligraphy and other beautiful artwork. She’s been an angel to Austin and others in countless ways and Austin couldn’t be luckier to have her as a mom.
Jim Rumsey
Father of the Groom
Jim has been an amazing example as a father to Austin for 36 years! He never hesitated or failed to get Austin and his brother Tyler to their 3am hockey games. He’s a selfless provider and leader for his family. He is a living example that hard work and a servant's attitude can take you anywhere you want. Everywhere he goes, he’s helping people, from Speculator NY as a volunteer EMT/ambulance driver, to working with doctors and surgeons in Eastern Africa healing people born with club feet and orthopedic problems, and everywhere in between. Austin wouldn’t be half the man he is today without him.

Tyler is Austin’s brother and friend of 35 years. They’ve spent their lives together growing up in CT, biking, snowboarding, playing hockey, making various video projects, and having adventures. In recent years, they’ve spent a good deal of time working on a second home in Honduras which has strengthened their relationship and has been an excellent ongoing adventure!
Christina Speel

Christina is Austin' sister, she is very pretty and kind, she is a great mom, raising two wonderful kids with her husband Jeff. She has a lovely family. I finally get the sister I had always dreamed and prayed for! She has always been a great older sister to Austin. Growing up, they may have had different circles of friends but Austin always knew he could trust Christina with anything that was going on in his life. She’s always been a great example and someone Austin can look up to, even though he’s about half a foot taller.

Jeff is Austin’s brother in law and friend for the past 12 years. Jeff is a wonderful husband to Austin’s sister, Christina and a wonderful father to their 2 amazing kids, Elle and Hutz. Jeff is a strong Christian and a brave, adventurous man who leads his family to help others and serve God in many ways.

Mandy is Austin’s younger sister! She is an extraordinary human who is present and committed to her loved ones. Mandy is also a close friend to her older brother Austin. They’ve had the opportunity to share countless adventures, and their free spirits and kind hearts make them a unique duo. She is a wonderful mom, her son Freddy is the sweetest boy in this whole world! She is a good vegan cook, too!
Doug Abbott

Doug and Austin have been friends for more than 25 years. They grew up playing hockey, snowboarding, going to concerts and getting into trouble. His wife Annie is amazingly kind, patient, smart, talented, and patient. Doug and his wife Annie are also excellent tomato farmers in Vermont!
Hannah Cunningham

Hannah is Tyler’s fiancée, and has been a great friend to me. She is a wonderful human being with a great heart. She is a very professional model and a fantastic cook. While building a second home in Honduras, Austin got to spend a lot of quality time with Hannah. From working with her on the house, to the beautiful garden she created, Austin saw how she gives everything she has towards everything she does. She's hard working, determined and she's a great inspiration. The Rumsey's are lucky she's part of their family!
Bryan Chiodo

Bryan and Austin grew up in Darien together. They played tennis, hockey, and went on ski trips together. Bryan is the most handy/best DIY guy that Austin knows. Bryan and Austin have similar taste in music. Bryan and his awesome wife Brooke have a beautiful home in Stamford CT where Bryan serves as the landscaping committee chairperson!
Nannan Tao

Nannan is a great baker in Paris! She makes the best walnut crisps, and she is also the woman who has worked hardest to start a business. Nannan is an amazing speech therapist and we've always had such insightful conversations! Always quick with a joke and smile, we are blessed to have her in our lives.
Scott Hanson

Scott and Austin met in 3rd grade and have been great friends ever since. Scott even talked Austin into skydiving, which Austin thought he wouldn’t be afraid of until the time actually came and he almost backed out. But knowing he couldn’t let Scott one-up him, it gave Austin the courage he needed to do one of the most thrilling things he’s ever done. Scott has been married to his beautiful, intelligent wife Leiloni since 2018 and they have 2 beautiful children, Cameron and Olina.

Vivian is a former Miss Asia pageant winner and was also a successful business woman! From booking our photo booth, hiring a shuttle bus driver, helping me shop for my dress, helping with the bridal shower and so much more! I am so grateful to have her as someone to look up to.

Max and Austin have been great friends since attending Darien High School together. They’ve gone on many adventures together, from college hopping throughout New England, to concert hopping in NYC. Max is a great friend who once opened his home to Austin while he didn’t have a place to stay and was looking for his first job in television in CT. Max and his beautiful, kind girlfriend Sarah are happily living near Denver.

Betty and I met on the first day of TOEFL class! I remember she always came to the class first, and studied very hard! Ever since, Betty has been an angel and the sweetest human. My freshmen year she told me to join a gym and she helped me fit in with my community when I moved to Flushing. I will always treasure our past times together!

Ian and Austin have been great friends since middle school. Ian and Austin share a weird, twisted, sarcastic sense of humor that keeps their bond strong! They also enjoy jamming on their acoustic guitars and listening to Pennywise, MxPx and Chromeo.

“Owens” and Austin have been friends since meeting at Lyndon State College in 2003. They’ve enjoyed playing tennis, pond hockey, beirut, poker, and jamming together. Owens is a great friend and is an amazing father two his 2 kids, Sophie and Sawyer.
