Fun things to do in Mexico!
Chichén-Itzá
The mother-of-all Mexican historical sites, this complex of Mayan Ruins is a sight to behold. Be warned though - its about 3 hours drive from Cancun, and would be a full day undertaking! But for those who want to see some spectacular history, well worth the trip.
Xel-Ha
This park is based around a beautiful lagoon and offers snorkeling, swimming, water slides, and etc. Of the three big parks (Xcaret, Xel-Ha, and Xplor) - this one is geared towards aquatic fun. We went here on our first trip to Cancun.
Xcaret
One of the big 3 "X" parks, this one is the best blend of culture and activities, and definitely worth a visit. There's cenote swimming, Mayan ruins, snorkeling, and a pretty amazing pre-Columbian show. A great time for the family too!
Xplor
The final "X" park, Xplor is less about culture and more about adrenaline! There's a huge zipline course, underground caves to swim through, and 4x4's to drive. We had a blast here!
