Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Yu-Shien Ni and Adam Barnes
Boy oh boy we are so excited for you to experience the magic of Portugal! Whether you plan to spend some extra time in Lisbon or venture further afield, here are some ideas.

Lisbon Area Recommendations

Google Map of our favorite spots inside and just outside the city!

Foz do Lizandro

Portugal

Beginner-friendly surf beach near our venue. Sport climbing up the river too! Reach out if you'd like us to inquire about lessons through our venue.

Café Rolando

46 EM554, Santo Isidoro, Lisboa 2640-064, Portugal

Local bar/cafe 5 min from our venue with outdoor seating that serves a delicious bifana (traditional Portuguese beef sandwich).

Ceramics, yoga class, etc.

Reach out if you're interested and we will inquire with our venue about hosting a small group class.

Óbidos

Portugal

Very cute & charming medieval town 50 minutes north of our venue.

Alentejo

Portugal

Massive region of southern Portugal known for great wine. We enjoyed visiting Herdade da Malhadinha and Fitapreta Vinhos for food and wine tastings. Herdade do Freixo is a must for architecture nerds :)

Taberna Dos Mercadores

36 Rua dos Mercadores, Porto, Porto 4000, Portugal

Yes, we know this is in Porto, but it's arguably our favorite restaurant in all of Portugal! They do take reservations but otherwise, expect to wait. We highly recommend visiting Porto for a few days if you can - our first respective trips to Portugal a decade ago were both to Porto, and it's one of the reasons we both fell in love with this country!

Taberna dos Fernandes

70 Rua da Fonte Taurina, Porto, Porto 4050-553, Portugal

Probably our second-favorite restaurant in Porto. An excellent consolation prize if you can't get into Taberna dos Mercadores.
