When should I arrive?

Our first event is at 6 pm on Saturday, May 29th and we would deeply appreciate you prioritizing this dinner over the day-after brunch on Monday, May 31st. Gentle reminder to budget in time for the 45 minute drive to the venue from the Lisbon airport.

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

The Lisbon airport is the closest airport to Ericeira (45 minutes away). If you choose to visit another city like Porto before the wedding, it is a pleasant 3ish hour drive to the venue.

Are there any restrictions to entering Portugal?

Answer

Travelers can enter Portugal visa-free for up to 90 days for US, EU, Hong Kong, and Singapore passport-holders (just make sure your passport isn't expiring within 90 days of your departure).

Help! What should I know about car rentals???

Answer

You can easily rent a car from the Lisbon airport from an international company such as Sixt, Budget, etc. If you plan to spend a few days in Lisbon prior to our wedding, we do not recommend renting a car while you're in the city - parking can be a nightmare. Other local companies offer very cheap rates, but check their ratings!! We have had good experiences with Waygo in the past. Bonus discount if you can drive stick :D Last tip - make sure to take photos/videos of the entire car before you hit the road, including weird things like tire rims. Trust us! Basic insurance is covered if you book with a travel card like Capital One VentureX or Chase Sapphire Preferred, but just buying full insurance through the car rental company (not the third-party group like Expedia or Booking.com) can be worth the peace of mind.
